We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something is not right, we are here to help. Learn about our return policy and how to start a return.
1. Return Policy Overview
At Bike Bay, we stand behind every product we sell. We offer a 30 day return window on most items, giving you plenty of time to make sure your purchase is the right fit.
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange. Items must be in their original condition, unused, and in their original packaging.
Some items have different return windows or conditions. Please see the specific policies below for bicycles, electronics, and sale items.
2. Bicycle Returns
We want you to love your new bike. Complete bicycles can be returned within 14 days of delivery if they have not been ridden outside.
For bicycles delivered via White Glove service, please inspect your bike carefully at the time of delivery. If you notice any damage or defects, let the delivery specialist know immediately.
If you have taken the bike for a test ride and it is not the right fit, we offer a one time exchange for a different model or size. The bike must be in like new condition with no signs of wear, dirt, or damage.
Custom built bikes and bikes ordered with special modifications are not eligible for return unless there is a manufacturing defect.
3. How to Start a Return
Starting a return is easy. Just follow these steps:
Step 1: Contact our customer service team by email at returns@bikebay.com or by phone at 1-800-BIKE-BAY. Let us know your order number and the reason for your return.
Step 2: We will review your request and send you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number along with instructions for shipping your item back to us.
Step 3: Pack the item securely in its original packaging if possible. Include the RMA number on the outside of the box.
Step 4: Ship the item using the prepaid shipping label we provide, or use your own carrier. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.
Step 5: Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process your refund or exchange within 5 to 7 business days.
4. Refund Processing
Refunds are processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow the following time frames for your refund to appear:
Credit/Debit Cards: 5 to 10 business days after we process the refund, depending on your bank.
PayPal: 3 to 5 business days after we process the refund.
Store Credit: Issued immediately and can be used right away on your next purchase.
Original shipping charges are refundable only if the return is due to our error or a defective product. For all other returns, original shipping costs are not refunded.
5. Exchanges
Want a different size, color, or product? We are happy to help with exchanges.
To exchange an item, follow the return process above and let us know what you would like instead. If there is a price difference, we will charge or refund the difference accordingly.
For the fastest exchange, we recommend returning your original item for a refund and placing a new order for the item you want. This ensures you get your new item as quickly as possible.
6. Items That Cannot Be Returned
For health and safety reasons, certain items cannot be returned once opened or used:
Helmets: Cannot be returned once removed from packaging due to safety regulations.
Nutrition Products: Energy bars, gels, and drinks cannot be returned once opened.
Undergarments: Cycling shorts, bibs, and chamois cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
Clearance Items: Products marked as final sale or clearance are not eligible for returns.
Gift Cards: Not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned.
7. Defective or Damaged Items
Received something defective or damaged? We apologize for the inconvenience and will make it right.
Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving a damaged or defective item. Take photos of the item and packaging and include them in your email to returns@bikebay.com.
We will arrange for a free return shipping label and send you a replacement or full refund, including original shipping costs. In some cases, we may be able to send a replacement part rather than requiring a full return.
8. Warranty Claims
Many products we sell come with manufacturer warranties that extend beyond our 30 day return window.
For warranty claims on bicycles, components, and accessories, please contact us with your proof of purchase. We will help you navigate the warranty process with the manufacturer.
Bike Bay does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications.
9. International Returns
International customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
Please contact us before shipping any international return so we can provide you with the correct return address and any necessary customs documentation.
Refunds for international orders will be processed in the original currency of the transaction. Currency conversion rates may result in a slightly different refund amount.
